Burning behaviour of materials used in the interior construction of motor coaches

The European Directive95/28/EEC applies to all marketed motor vehicles of category M3 (vehicles carrying more than 22 passengers, not being designed for standing passengers and urban use such as city buses), as well as to all suppliers of materials used for the construction of motor coaches.

The burning behaviour is assessed according to the following tests:

• determination of the horizontal burning rate of materials
• determination of the melting behaviour of materials (melting test)
• determination of the vertical rate of materials
