Workshop Architectural textiles
This 1‐day Workshop will discuss the results of Contex-T, a EU‐funded project on Textiles for Architectural Applications. The results are the culmination of a 4 year project which brought together 29 companies and laboratories from 10 countries.
The project has a wide scope but aimed at the creation of breakthrough innovations in the high-tech area of technical textiles for construction, with a special focus on noise reduction, acoustic absorption, thermal insulation, light transmission and reflection. Due to the scope of research there is a significant spill‐over to other important textile technological areas have resulted, ie into protective clothing, automotive textiles, textile for transportation & packaging, fibre reinforced structural elements, upholstery materials.
Guests are invited to join this workshop to find out about the latest developments and future potential of some of these innovations. Space is limited and will be allocated on a first come basis.
A nominal fee of €40 will be charged to defray the costs of refreshment and lunch.
