Recent research has recently disclosed the chemistry and properties of hydrogels that are actually completely controllable.

It is now possible to apply hydrogels with the desired properties to textiles. Textiles that are treated with the appropriate temperature sensitive hydrogels react to changes in body temperature by adapting their texture and volume, just like animal fur, and thus creating the correct thermal protection at any time.
