Textiles & in-door air quality

Pre-standard research project to develop test methods to assess the effect of textile products on the presence of volatile components in the ambient air.
A method based on thermal liberation is proposed. This is a quick method to screen all sorts of textiles.

Recently, textile products are being marketed of which the producers claim that they are capable of actively removing organic components from the ambient air. Their principle is based on absorption, in combination or not with photo-catalytic oxidation, through titanium dioxide.
