The Vlaamse Waterweg nv has installed the first of two new bicycle and footbridges next to the Canada Bridge in Bruges. The existing wooden bridges were too worn out and are now being replaced by new composite bridges.
Bruges boosts a double scoop! It's the first composite bicycle bridge in Flanders of this size and the longest composite bridge made of one single piece in the world.
