Source: retailtrends.nl Amazon has obtained a US patent on a mirror allowing customers to virtually fit garments before ordering them online. The patent is an extention of the previously patented Echo Look camera. Amazon calls it a "blended reality mirror", combining real and computer generated images. The frame of the mirror is equipped with cameras detecting the person in front of it and the surrounding. The customer can add clothing items to his/her reflection by means of augmented reality and view it in a 360° view, while the clothing moves toghether with his/her movements. Next to trying on different garments, the surrounding can also be adapted.
