Fire safety remains a key requirement for textiles and plastics, while regulatory pressure, sustainability goals, and circular‑economy ambitions are rapidly transforming the field of flame retardancy. Restrictions on hazardous substances, increasing demand for halogen‑ and PFAS‑free solutions, and concerns about recyclability and durability are driving the need for new materials, testing approaches, and design strategies.

This conference brings together industry and research to discuss recent advances, challenges, and future directions in flame retardants and fire behaviour of textiles and plastics.
