Metal wires and other metal parts that are intended to be bent or can be bent, whether covered with another material or not, are tested for their flexibility to ensure that they do not break or that sharp points can occur.

Metal wires should not pose a risk of injury.

Principle

The test is applied to the metallic wire in the condition in which it appears in the toy (i.e. the metallic wire is NOT removed from the toy).

The metallic wire or metallic component is examined for breakage or hazardous sharp points by removing any covering material, if applicable, to aid the examination.
