A laser is a device that emits a concentrated beam of light through a process of optical amplification by the stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation.
The term LASER is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
Commonly used in surgery, it is essential to protect the patient with drapes or covers that can withstand penetration by these beams.
