EN71-1(2014) + A1(2018) §8.9
The EN 71-1 soaking test is intended to assess the effect of saliva.
The soaking is applied to toys that contain glue.
If the glue hasn't come off after a set series of soaking cycles, it won't either when a child is munching on it.
The requirements are applicable only for toys intended for children under 3 years of age and are performed prior to use and abuse testing, like torque, tension, drop, impact and compression.
