Light RTM combines precision, performance, and sustainability, making it a valuable technique for the prototyping and production of advanced composite parts.
Light RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) is a closed-mould process used to manufacture high-quality composite parts. The technique is particularly well-suited for applications requiring lightweight yet strong structures, commonly used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, construction, and marine.
In this process, dry reinforcement materials (such as textile preforms) are placed inside a two-part mould. Once sealed, resin is injected under vacuum pressure into the mould cavity, impregnating the reinforcement materials. After curing, the mould is opened, and the finished composite part is removed.
