Dimensional Stability of Resilient Floor Coverings according to EN ISO 23999

EN ISO 23999 specifies a method for determining the dimensional stability and curling behavior of resilient floor coverings (like vinyl, linoleum, rubber, etc.) after exposure to heat.

Floor & wallcovering

Drop test according to EN71-1 §8.5

This test assesses the appearance of cracks or tears or whether any parts come loose after a cycle of 5 drops from a height of 85 cm.

Physical lab

Dynamic Thermo-Mechanical Analysis (DTMA) according to ASTM D5026 and ISO 6721

Dynamic Thermo-Mechanical Analysis, DTMA, is an analytical method that dynamically measures the thermo-mechanical properties of a plastic material as it heats or cools.

Plastic characterization

Electrical resistance of floorcoverings according to ISO 10965

In rooms with electronic devices (e.g. computers), it is essential to ascertain the electrical resistance of floor coverings.

Floor & wallcovering

Electrostatic safety according to EN 1149-1

The amount of electrical charge generated by triboelectric charging depends on many factors, including the contact area, the properties of the materials, how quickly the materials separate and the relative humidity.

Emergency relief items

Emergency relief items used by humanitarian organisations in disaster-stricken areas (e.g. war, hunger, natural disasters such as drought, floods, earthquakes, landslides) must meet the most rigorous standards in order to save lives.

Physical lab

Evaluating PPE against infectious diseases according to EN 14126

Centexbel is fully equipped to analyse PPE protecting against infectious diseases and is a worldwide acknowledged expert in the evaluation of these items.

056-TEST scope granted by BELAC

The scope consists of a fixed scope, including test and product standards, and of a flexible scope, where no specific reference to the standard is included.

Flexible Scope

Accredited tests included in the flexible scope have a specific code mentioned in the first column (e.g. B001). Centexbel has a detailed list of these tests where a direct link between the specific codes, the test and product standards can be found.

On page 30/31 of the 056-TEST scope, BELAC states:

The laboratory is authorized to determine, under accreditation, the measured properties/parameters belonging to the specified group of measured properties/parameters for the products/matrices belonging to the specified group of products/matrices, using methods that utilize the specified test or measurement principle or measurement technique. This authorization is granted on the condition that appropriate validation and/or verification has been performed in accordance with the overall validation and/or verification concept, as established in the laboratory's management system and the provisions of BELAC 2-002 and BELAC 2-101. The laboratory maintains, for each applicant, an updated and detailed list of the specific tests (in terms of specific measured properties/parameters belonging to the specified group of measured properties/parameters, specific products/matrices belonging to the specified group of products/matrices, and specific test methods) performed under accreditation.
