Blade2Circ uses materials like biobased carbon fibers, biobased thermoset and dynamic materials through new recycling technologies to extend the useful life of the wind turbines.
Objectives
BLADE2CIRC will develop a circular and greener alternative to traditional wind turbine blade designs. It will increase the share of high-performance bio-based composite materials with enhanced recyclability.
The Solution
BLADE2CIRC will develop new and alternative composite materials for WTBs, addressing sustainability, resilience, and circularity. The project will present key innovations in the different materials that compose a WTB as well as on the recycling processes.
