Testing scope

In October 2018, our labs have been successfully submitted to the annual BELAC assessments. Upon formal confirmation, the range of the Centexbel-VKC accredited tests will expanded by:

  • tensile, bending and impact tests on plastics (performed in the plastic characterisation lab in Kortrijk)
  • chemical fibre identication (performed in the chemical lab in Gent)

The scope of Fire protection A.1/3.18 - Surface materials and floor coverings with low flame-spread characteristics - will be expanded by

  • a) decorative veneers
  • e) adhesives used in the construction of ‘A’, ‘B’ & ‘C’ class divisions
