In order to label an FFP or respiratory protection mask with the CE marking, the notified body needs to make sure that the performance criteria as defined by EN 149: 2001 + A1: 2009 are respected.

Centexbel is a BELAC accredited lab to perform the necessary tests.

EN 149: 2001 + A1: 2009 distinguishes between 3 levels of classification for FFP masks, including to the penetration level of the filter layer and breathing resistance of the mask:
