Context
Micro-organismen zijn nefast voor textielmaterialen wanneer hun aantal niet onder controle wordt gehouden of wanneer bv. beddengoed (lakens, matrasbeschermers...) niet goed worden onderhouden.
In textiel veroorzaken micro-organismen verschillende problemen zoals aantasting van het weefsel, kleurverandering (vlekken, verkleuring), geuren en ze kunnen eventueel gezondheidsrisico's inhouden, zoals allergische reacties.
